It began in 2003, when our beloved pet rat terrier Barney died. We were so heart broken. My husband's cousin felt so bad for our children, that he gave us his 1 year old female Basset Hound. We instantly fell in love with Charlie. Shortly there after we decided to find a male Basset Hound. One day, on a visit to my parents home,I noticed that my parent's neighbor had a Basset Hound. I asked my mother to give her neighbor a call about their Basset. My parent's neighbor told my mother, they were actually looking for a new home for their Basset Hound because they both worked long hours and were away from home too much. They just felt he wasn't getting the attention he needed. They offered to give him to us without his registration papers or we could buy him with paper for $50.  So we bought Flash in 2004.  He is such a big clown and we know he was meant to be ours.  I  don't always understand why things happen but I know that God is always in control. I believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us. Even through the loss of our sweet little Barney, God was working it out. If Barney were still alive, we would not have been blessed with our Beautiful Basset Babies.
